Connecting PS3 to Dell Ultrasharp 2007WFP

Hey there, basically i want to connect my PS3 to my LCD Monitor (this one) but don't know how to go about it? The monitor has a DVI-D socket but this will be in use as i have the monitor connect my graphic card/PC using the DVI-D socket. That leaves only VGA, S Video and Composite Connectors.

I can't find a VGA cable for the PS3 and the DVI-D port is connect to my graphic card. Is there a solution where i can connect the PC and PS3 to this monitor using only DVI-D as this is the only connector (apart from VGA) that is capable of outputting HD signal.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

Your best bet it this http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_1080p_vga_box.htm

Will transcode Component up to 1080p into VGA. Transcoding is different to most converters, quality loss will be very slight at best.

There are similar solutions avaliable already, such as the VD-Z3, but the above has been designed specifically for PS3 up to 1080.

Cheers mate, how much is that XCM 1080p VGA box? Is there a solution where i can connect the PC and PS3 to this monitor using only the DVI-D connector. Like a 2 in 1 DVI-D adaptor, i don't know if these exist or not?

Well your monitor would have to support HDCP, I've no idea if yours does.

This DVI switcher should work fine though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ry=109015&rd=1
