PS2 Dual Shock: 2 into 1.

I've done a quick search and not found anything so here goes.

Does anyone know of a way of connecting two, or more, joypads to the player one control port of the PS2. I have a normal pad, an arcade stick and now a Guitar Hero guitar all vying for the player one control port. I really dislike the constant unpluging and plugging of all these various controllers, especially when I only want a five minute burst on a certain title.

I've looked at Play-Asia with no result so I'm guessing such a thing does not exist. I'm also presuming the PS2 multi-tap won't allow this, though I'm happy to be told otherwise.

Can you not just get an extension lead? That wil at least save endless wear & tear on the port on the system.

How about a custom job, take two extension cables apart and join the wires, or even solder direct to the male end that goes into the ps2. shouldn't be too hard, 3rd part extension cables are probably pretty simply put together.

Yeah, I'm looking at an extension lead if I can't find anything better. Think I'll give the custom one a miss though bootmonster, thanks for the replies.

Can anyone confirm that a multi-tap won't allow this?
