This looks like being the one
On a similar note and not wanting to sound too stupid (although I know I will), what's the best / easiest way to get these downloads onto your VMU. Bought my DC 2nd hand unboxed and never read any instuctions on how to do stuff like this.
In fact does anyone know anywhere I can go to to read up on stuff you can do with the VMU etc. Think the batteries have been dead in mine since day one, as soon as you take it out of the joypad the screen is blank. Would be interesting to find out.
Cheers

The easiest way to download vmu save files is to use your Dreamcast modem and web browser.
If you have a pal DC that will mean making sure you have the v3.0 browser disk (the DC isp service was suspended last year, you need to use your own ISP now).
Alternatively if you have a bba/coders cable there was a tool to transfer data to and from a vmu, but for the sake of a couple of game saves thats a lot of hassle.
There was also a device that allowed you to clone the data from one vmu to another.
The batteries being dead is not a problem unless you want to play vmu games, they don't affect data storage in any way.
Unless you like Tamagotchi games I wouldn't bother with replacing the vmu batteries. If you do like that sort of thing, the best games to check out are Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and Skies of Arcadia, as well as the Godzilla vmus.
I think there may be a vmu faq on gamefaqs, if not take a look at the general Dreamcast system faqs there.
