Copying documents from 1 PC to another PC

Okay, well I've kinda given up on getting a Mac Mini & I've seen a great little Dell Desktop on HUKD today for £188.07.
So, the question I have to ask is this:

I want to copy all of my documents/files from my current PC to what will be my new PC when it arrives, so how do I do this?
    Do I:
    1. Copy to a pen drive,
    2. Use a USB to USB cable of some sort?,
    3. Another method?.

Oh I forgot to ask this too:
If u can check the link can u tell me if the offer includes a modem or do I have to add a modem to the price?

    Thanx!!

modem as in dial-up? Probably not.

Ethernet would be the fastest way if there's a lot to copy, pen drive would obviously be fine if you've got one, or upload to online storage then download again would work too.

Couldn't you just burn them to a CD?

If you don't have broadband then either an internal or external dial-up modem would get you online, just the same as it does now. If your current one is external, no problems. If it's internal and PCI, then you can just take it out and put it in the new one. Otherwise you'll need to buy a new one, which shouldn't be pricy

At the mo I have Broadband but its running thru a Broadband Modem I got from Wanadoo when I signed up which is then hooked up to my Dial Up Modem in my PC.

So with this £188 Dell PC deal on the HUKD website do I get everything I need to get online if I have a Wanadoo BB modem, or do I need to add a dial up modem to the deal?

I think you may be slightly confused.

Which one is going into your desktop PC? RJ11 is used for phone lines and should be the connection between your broadband modem and the wall. The connection between your broadband modem and PC should be RJ45 which is used for networking PCs locally.

If I'm understanding the situation correctly you aren't using a modem on your current PC but using the ethernet port (RJ45). If this is the case your link for that dell will work fine with your broadband modem as you can see from this link.

Dell provides technology solutions, services & support. Buy Laptops, Touch Screen PCs, Desktops, Servers, Storage, Monitors, Gaming & Accessories

Check the Tech Specs tab and look for "Network: Integrated Ethernet"

That or your modem is connect to your PC through USB, either way I'm sure the new machine will be fine.
