Guitar Hero: Who what where why and how?

Right, I've passed on this series for long enough. I love Amplitude/Frequency/DDR but have always ignored GH simply because I'm not a Guitar Rock person. But I reckon I can overlook that cos some youtube vids have convinced me this game is the tits.

    Questions:

    A) 360 or PS2 version? Besides extortionate downloadable content, is there any reason to go for the 360 version, bearing in mind I wouldn't mind playing a user created version of "Chop Suey" on the PS2.

    B) Does the PS2 version work on PS3?

    C) Are the PS2 guitars compatible with the 360? (Long shot I know)

    D) Is the PS2 wireless guitar worth getting over the standard?

    E) Which version is better, GH1 or 2?

I know it's a lot of questions but my head has really been buried in the sand on this one.

    A) In the long term the 360 version might be better.
    B) Yes, but the guitars have nowhere to be plugged into!
    C) I think you can guess this one heh.
    D) Can't answer that, only got the wired ones.
    E) I prefer the song list in GH1 but being able to separately choose difficulty levels in multiplayer in GH2 makes it better for people who aren't the same skill level. Plus the co-op.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

Is this game really worth the investment, £70 seems a bit steep for a toy guitar.. everyone raves about this is it worth getting?

I found a torrent recently of a fan made GH2 with the GH1 songs in
As I have already bought both I feel no guilt.

Yes, truely amazing game even if you don't really like rhythm games.

I prefer the ps2 version over the 360 but I play the 360 version for the online leader board. Currently whipping Granddad Gradius's arse in career score. Wahahahah
