FIFA for a Pro Evo fan

Ok, basically I haven't played a FIFA game since World Cup 98 as I discovered ISS Pro 98 after that and have stuck with the Pro Evo series ever since.

Still loving Pro Evo but am interested to see how the FIFA series is doing and so I'm wondering what the best recent FIFA to pick up would be.
IIRC, 07 was meant to be pretty decent, as was World Cup 06, but if anyone could give opinions I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers.

Recently I've been playing 07 on the 360 against my mates, and I must say I did enjoy it.

I've always been a Pro Evo man, but PES6 on the 360 is so depressing imo, FIFA makes a nice change.

Yeah, FIFA 07 is decent. The passing is too slow and there are a few too many 'sweet spots' to score from but it's certainly the best FIFA i've played since FIFA 98.

Ooooo you're diverting from PES to FIFA, don't do it.....lol....Just kidding! FIFA 07 is definately playable but as sockochris said it is rather sluggish and the player animations are not as fluid as they should be. The UEFA Champions League game on the 360 plays better I think, add in the Ultimate team mode and it is not a half bad footy game at all.

Hi, i?ve been a fifa player since 2004. I own Fifa 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and World Cup 06. I?d say Fifa 07 is the best one if you play it on the PS2, on the 360 it is also very good but it doesn?t have the trick stick which really makes you miss out on many cool dribbling moves.

Me and my mate swear by '05 on the PS2 and still play it weekly to this day. We even have a bet on for the year and keep track of all the scores!

Its the best one, has off the ball feature and is nice a fast paced, you can lose a goal in a split second if you dont concentrate. Love it.
