Cal of Duty 1 - PC specs (is this retro now?)

I have an old PC, but I want to buy COD1 for it, does anyone know if these specs will run it really well or not:

    P4 2.8GHZ
    1GB RAM
    G-Force 6200 (256mb)
    XP SP2

I'm thinkig of getting that game of the year edtion with the missions pack. Any info/advice would be really appreciated.

      Thanks goldenhawk!

I'm surprised that COD2 would work, but I asume it would run jerky and in black and white - giving it that authentic 1940s feel

That PC's not that bad at all! Don't know what you're fussing about. A better graphics card would see it being quite good indeed.

Can't get a better graphics card because it's small form-factor, the one I've got is the best that will fit it I'm afraid

Not sure if I'm going to take a gamble on COD2 yet.

Download yourself the COD2 demo and try it for yourself, my PC is only a little bit more powerful than yours there and it absolutely minced COD2.

            demo is here

Thanks EvilBoris, I've downloaded the demo of COD2 and tested it. It runs well, but slows down when the smoke granades go off.

I assume when you say 'minced' you mean it ran good on your PC (I'm not down with the lingo ).
