G-Con 2 - Does it work with PSone titles?

As above.
Wondered if the newer G-con 2 for the PS2 works with older PSX shooters such as GunBullet etc.? Or if I have to use the old G-Con? Oh yeah and do the old Guncon's work on widescreen TV's (CRT)?

Don't know about them working with PS1 games, but they deffo work on widescreen CRT's.

Nope :/ since they use the USB socket, which PS1 games can't detect. Perversely though, you can use the G-Con 45 on PS2 games.

Namco re-released the three Gunbullet games, and also Time Crisis 1, in a "Gunvari Collection" pack a few years ago, with all the games made compatible with GCon2.

Cheers for the replies guys. I'm presuming the Gunvari collection is Japanese? I'll take a look in a couple of recycle stores if that's the case. thanks all.

Yes, the GunVari Collection is indeed Japanese. It pretty much seems to run in PSone emulation mode once you get past the game select area.

I use 1 GunCon and 1 G-Con 2 (both PAL) together on it on my chipped PS2 and it works a-ok.
