Broken DS Lite touchscreen, needs repair

Just discovered that a small child has somehow damaged the touch screen on the DS Lite bought for her. Great. Basically the lower third of the screen is either 'dead' to the stylus, or massively out of synch. Recallibration does no good, in fact I can't even get the screen to sense it being touched for part of the recallibration(!).

    Are they repairable?

Nintendo should be able to do something with it for you - if it's still under warranty then that will be your best bet. So long as there's no sign of physical damage they should fix it for free.

Errr, how ling does/did the warranty last, and did anything need to be sent away?

AFAIK, Nintendo offers a two year warranty for all it's products.

It's one year for consoles doods, I'm sure.

Call 'em on 0870 6060 247 and they'll undoubtedly just ask for the console back, and send you out a refurbished unit.

I doubt anyone else can fix them.
