    Overclocking a Sega Saturn?

    Hi,
Just wondered if it could be done? Know a D.C, Mega drive etc. etc. can all be overclocked and thought I saw, a while ago, an overclocking guide for the saturn somewhere on the web. A google search has brought up no answers so wondered if anyone knows if a Saturn can be overclocked?
    cheers

I'm no Saturn expert, but given the amount of independent processors (both graphic and "central"), I guess it may be difficult due to timing issues or perhaps changing one oscillator that speeds up the whole system means that one or more CPU's overheat or fail to work properly.

had a read up on this, some guy was claiming to have managed it and was selling allegedly overclocked saturns, however a few people became suspicious and he was eventually rumbled. so far it seems the (seven so i heard) processors are very reliant on timing, and if you change the clock speed it causes all sorts of problems. i think even the scan rate of the video is affected by the clock, I'm sure I read that somewhere anyway.

Yeah figured as much, I know the Saturn's CPU's are a bit of a bastard , hence the probs it caused to when trying to create a successfully emulator. Perhaps I got it wrong, or perhaps I had also heard of the guy claiming to have done it as mentioned by bootmonster. Cheers anyway guys.
