Need info on playing pc games on my tv.

Hi looking to get my pc screen showing up on my tv for playing games.

Do i need a certain input/output type thing for this on the back of my tv.

If i don't have this is there any way around it other than having to buy a new tv.
    - cheers

Alot of Graphics cards have an Svideo output or a composite output, that will give you a very basic image on your TV screen.
If you have an LCD TV you may well have a VGA port or HDMI/DVI which you can plug straight into your TV also, this is the better image option.

Many of the newer video cards will have HDMI or some kind of component video variant but the bigger problem you will encoutner is overscan, basically having your screen cropped on all sides by 5% or more. There is software out there which can help with this (Powerstrip) but it isn't compatible with many of the newer cards. Some drivers have built-in scaling for this but unfortunately for my Vista 64 setup, I am still at nVidia's mercy on this issue.
