    USPS delays?

I'm new to the forum so hello everyone; my names Jim. I have already searched the forum and found several topics that are similar to my problem so apologies if this is common. I decided to import an Xbox 360 so as to play NCAA Football 08 on it a couple of weeks ago. I brought from NCSX and am now regretting to say that I chose USPS priority....

NCSX sent on 13th Jul. I have my tracking number and when I put it in to USPS or Parcelforce, it says "16th Jul - Left origin country". It's now the 25th... Which means that either my Xbox has been lost/stolen or has been in the air for 10 days. I am absolutely bricking it.

PS. I have used CD Universe for years to import my NCAA football and it arrived 24 hours after it was delivered... ($58.95 with 4 delivery options of which I chose Fedex Priority at $27) - fellow NCAA fans; I've been playing for 6 years now and they always have the best deal/service.

It's probably been seized by customs - expect to be waiting a few weeks for it if so.

Does this happen before they can scan it? From what I gathered it gets a scan before it goes into customs. Is a customs seizure different? It's got all the right customs labels on it as it's coming from NCSX? Thanks for the quick reply BTW.

I think you'd have to be extremely unlucky for it to go missing, particularly since it's something big like a X360.

It's possible that it might have gone via Europe (crazy as it might seem) or there's a backlog of some sorts.

If you have a tracking no. it will be be scanned before entering Customs and scanned on leaving it too.

I imported a PS3 and it took almost a week before it registered as arriving in the country (from Florida using USPS Airmail).

Thanks Prophet Hero. What a great forum. It's so reassuring just to hear that someone else has had a similar experience. Wait, wait, wait... Very frustrating to have the game and no 360 to play it on... Maybe I'll see what it does in my CD player...

            Hi, welcome to the forum.

USPS suck, I ordered a Nintendo Wii from US eBay and there was no tracking update for 8 days after it left the origin country, I know you've just passed the 8 day mark but just keep playing the waiting game for a few more days. I thought it was lost too but it eventually turned up.

Yep, like people have said, it will turn up, you just might have a bit of a wait on your hands unfortunately. Still, welcome to the forum - come and talk about the 360 in the time you're waiting.

Thank you so much. The silly thing is that I think USPS customers would be happier if they were just a little more descriptive, like "Package left origin country to go on whistle stop tour of Europe... Don't expect postcard"..

Well done hayvix, that must be the first time anyone has said "woohoo" and "awaiting customs charges" in the same post.

Welcome to the forum hayvis.....good to have another NCAA fan aboard

Not much good this year but Tronix are very good for importing US games if you need 'em fast. They have NCAA for $58 and offer Fed Ex Courier delivery (usually takes a couple of days).....from memory it's only $13.

                      www.tronixweb.com

(these guys are also very good for all you importing needs.... www.videogamesplus.ca )

I used to use CD Universe but their regular shipping took yonks & they declared the full value for customs. Tronix & VG+ on the other always mark games down below the UK customs limit so there's little or no risk of any customs delays/ charges.

ps. you probably have a source already but if you need rosters you can download 'em for free (or make a voluntary donation) here:

                      www.fkrosters.com

Enjoy the 360 & NCAA when they finally arrive!!
