playing online on a NTSC PS2 console in the UK??

I have a Japanese and USA PS2, and am thinking about getting broadband.

If i buy a Japanese or a USA network adapter will I be able to play say FFXI? or AutoModilista from the UK?

other question ... can I do all this buy just pluging in a UK network adapter? will that work?

therea are a few people on the ps2 beta trial forums, that have been playing the american version of socom from the uk, so auto should work not sure about ff though as it needs a hardrive and an account to play, they imported the NA i think as they have been playing it for a good few months before the uk version came out. only probs you might have is ping times as ive heard this is a prob

Hmmmm, I wonder if it will be halmful to try out a UK network adapter on my NTSC machines?

anyone think thats a bad idea?

dont think it will harm your ps if a modded ps2 works with a ntsc NA it should work the other way round th only diference between the pal and the american NA is the lack of a 56k port for the pal model

I'm using a UK adapter on my mod'd JPN PS2 for SOCOM with no problems so far.
