    PS3 pad disconnecting

Anybody had trouble with the PS3 losing its connection to the joypad? A few times while I've been playing on it, the pad has just stopped responding for a few seconds, which is quite annoying. Particularly when it happens on the last corner of a race I'm about to win in RR7, as it did just now. A web search turned up a few comments about the problem, but no solution that I could find.

Happens often for me too. That's your bluetooth technology for you.

Pain in the arse when it happens but the only cure (I think) is to connect via USB lead all the time.

Happened more than once to me when playing online - the old 'my pad stopped working' excuse doesn't stop the mockery when you lose the final point in VT3

I used to get it because of my old bluetooth headset interfering however I've not noticed it while playing since getting a new headset.

I've heard people say that it's got something to do with the level of charge left in the pad to i.e. the pad is low on power and needs charging.

Not had it myself (there's the kiss of death right there) so that could be total rubbish.

            (On a US ps3)

RFOM disconnected all the time, but was fixed after firmware upgrade.

If I use the BR remote, the pad sometimes gets disconnected.

If playing normally the pad occasionally disconnects, but not often.

I don't want to jinx myself so I'll quote instead.

I get this quite often when playing Super Stardust HD (which is damn annoying when it costs you your multiplier), but I don't really notice it in any other games.
