Xbox 360 controller with counter strike?

I wondered if anyone knows if i can play counter strike 1 with the official xbox 360 wired controller?

I'm sure you can, you should be able to allocate buttons and stuff yourself in the game menus like most other PC games.

I was born with a pad, and i shall die with a pad.

I just find a controller more natural. I can set it to joystick, and the left analouge stick moves but nothing else, Anyone?

yeah, you can play it with the pad, but it is rather fiddly. The next game though will be on the Games for Windows platform and have pad support built in.
