Xbox 360 Achievement Problem.

Hey everyone,

I've had Splinter Cell Double Agent for a while now and decided the other day that i'll finally sit down with it and go through it. Well the problem is I've done the first area and according to various achievement websites I should have unlocked at least two achievements. The Invisible Man (In solo mode, complete a mission without being detected) & Iceland Assignment Completed
(In solo mode, completed the Iceland assignment.) I've gone through this 5 times now and still havent been rewarded with that all important achievement. You may be wondering why ive had to check websites for the achievements well thats because my 360 won't allow me to view the achievements for this game *only*. When I try it it comes up with a message on the screen saying Unlock Achievements by playing games. A couple of other things you may need to know, yes i'm online/signed in when playing and yes ive even tried playing it on a different 360 and got the same problem where it simply wont unlock them. I share my 360 with my brother and he has happily been unlocking achievements on Splinter Cell Double Agent on his profile. I've deleted all saves for this game on my memory card and hard drive and tried again so many times but for whatever reason i dont know the achievements for this game on my profile atleast seemed to be locked. It's really f*cking annoying.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did read your post last night and don't know an answer, would suggest posting something over on the SC: DA www.a360p.com forum, it has a big readership so chances are it may have happened to one of them.

Bummer though, achievement glitches are mighty fustrating at the best of times.

i have heard of similar problems with achievements on games before but i can't remember if there is a fix for it.

is your profile and game save on different memory devices? try putting your profile on a memory card and playing with a different hard drive to see if there is maybe some corrupted data somewhere

I had my first achievement glitch yesterday

Bloody ranked gears as well. Combined (warzone + execution) I've got over 100 curb stomp kills.

But did it unlock? Nooooo

Your post reads as if you got one but not the other ?

If so, I'll hazard you got the one for completing the level but not the stealth one - That'll be cos as part of the mission you HAVE to trigger the alarm in the silo before escaping

The dashboard patch yesterday was to stop boosting cheaters getting achievements easy - Looks like they got ya

Seriously though I got mine no problem way back when just playing regular ranked games - wasn't like counting down the number of stomps just unlocked it along the way.

It will do, my friend had to get 10,250 kills before he got Seriously...

DavidHolliss: Yeah, achievement glitches are very fustrating. It's silly but I feel I can't go through Splinter Cell DA without them now. I'll try that other site though, thanks for that.

chopemon: I've tried that method but unfortunetly I got the same result.


Yoshimax: Oh, I didnt mean it to read like that! I havent been able to unlock ANY achievement for this game. I can't even view what the achievements are.

I'll keep the game, maybe one day during a dashboard update it will fix this annoying problem.
