Has anyone used www.wired2fire.co.uk to buy a pc?

They have a full page add in pcgamer this month...seem pretty reasonably priced too. Can get a machine with 2 gig of ram and 2 radeon x1950xts for about 700 quid which seems good.

Never heard of them, but that doesn't sound a great bargain tbh.

A 512mb x1950 is £90. 2GB of Corsair memory is £50. Is the rest really worth £470?!

could you link me where to get the gfx card for 90 and the memory for 50 please? might build one myself lol

I realise now you meant the newer xtx, which is £240 per card, which makes £700 seem a bit better!

But if you're spending that much on a card, shouldn't you wait a while, as that ones a year old now and bound to go down soon before xmas. Also, 240x2 is 480, and for that you could get a top line water-cooled silent 8800, which does better than two x1950s on it's own. Or spring for the newer 2900XT if you're intent on crossfire.
