    Supergun picture, desperate help Please.

Please help, my supergun arrived yesterday and stepdown today.

I connected all up (RGB too) and the game board runs a green colour and normal colours are overshadowed by green and look dull.

    May i ask advice.

(its the only board i have to test)

It could be a number of things. It's best to get another PCB and try thatout to see if your Splatterhouse isn't damaged.

I tried the composite scart in the Vs VHS port as it gave no picture through RGB and i got correct colours with it, but very very blurry..does this help?

          Thanks.

It's not a Japanese scart lead is it?

Composite will prolly be blurry. Is the RGB Scart cable actually a Japanese RGB21 cable? You might have to mess with the 5v adjustment too. What other controls do you have you can adjust?

Back of supergun has this, Fuse Knob, MO/ST, L-M-H, SY-NO, plus some other stuff which look like internal small turn switches.

Best way to check if it is a Japanese 21 pin cable is too open up the scart lead ,and compare the pin layouts..

If it is , you only need to do a bit of soldering and it should be fine.

Sony TVs should run anything you throw at them. I've run numerous Sigma's on a variety of Sony TVs.

I sold this to Darren, the RGB lead was bought from VGI.

Not all Sony TV's work, I've tested it and a MAK SG (with a different RGB lead) on my Sony TV, didn't get a proper pic, maybe its an old tv, as it has a scart but not RGB, so it was ok with the av/scart lead.

The RGB lead worked on my HD plasma, but the pic was a bit too bright and with jagged edges, the colours was right though...... I've tried my Saturn as well and again works with a RGB lead but the pic is a little pixelated (spelling?). But a newer console like my PS2 with a ps2 lead works fine and looks great.

Also another type of tv that doesn't work properly is a 100hz CRT, I had a panasonic one and tried my old MAK on it, pic is fine, a little bright, but again with jagged edges.

Darren, start a thread at KC, loads of people there should be able to help, I know they helped me, I just didn't have the money to get another TV. One tv/monitor everyone seems to recommend is a Hantarex Video monitor, although expensive new, if a second-hand one can be found its usually quite cheap.

Hantarex's are used in cabinets and are very good. You'll need to put some kind of casing around it however.
