      Phil, I have two 360s and just switch my HDD between them. Much quicker than trying to recover your gamer tag.

          As said swapping the HDD is by far the easiest solution. I have 2 360s' and this is what i do.
          Mem card is a waste of time as some games won't let you move or copy their saves.
