PS3 through HDMI to DVI-D cable

Hey there, i'm going to be getting a PS3 soon and i'll be running the system on a PC monitor through a HDMI to DVI-D cable. So i was thinking will i get optional PC resolutions like Xbox 360 through a VGA cable i.e. 1024x768, etc or will i be limited to 720p/1080i.

The monitor is this one, and its main specs are:

    - 1680x1050
    - 20.1" Widescreen
    - DVI-D port
    - HDCP compatible

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers

It will only output in the normal HDTV resolutions, no PC specific ones as the PS3 does not have that kind of scaling functionality.

480p/720p should work fine, though no idea how well a PC monitor will handle an interlaced input like 1080i, you may have to disable that one.

I'm pretty sure a PC monitor will expect RGB Full Range, as opposed to Limited Range, you can set that in the XMB.
