    MP3 Player Reccommendations?

My iRiver H10 (6GB) has served me well until randomly last night it locked up saying system files missing, I did everything the support website says but it's just not having it and I can't get either PC to recognise it now to reinstall the firmware or update the firmware oh and there's not a reset button on the H10 6GB models, so I need a new MP3 player.

My budget is ?100-150 (can go over but only if it's a really good one) and I'd wanna go a bit bigger than 6GB now, it also needs good battery life as on afternoon shifts I plug it into the tape deck and run it on random for over 3 hours.

Also I'd quite like it to be able to accept drag and drop, don't mind ipods but don't wanna use iTunes etc, just wanna open it up and drag the files onto my mp3 player and go.

    Suggestions?

www.dapreview.net might help. I'm in the same boat really. Want something to replace my ageing h120 but don't need too much space. After using the 1 gig stone (bought for the gym due to its cheapness and size)I've been impressed with creative. Main problem for me is that most of my stuff is encoded as flac for the squeezebox. Very few players seem to support flac natively. Those samsungs look quite good but not sure of the capacity. I like the look of the sonys but get put off from reports about the bundled software. Like you I far prefer drag and drop!

I've very happy with my easy to use 8 GB Creative ZEN V Plus and even bought my girlfriend one for her birthday this year. It's an MTP device so supports Windows drag and drop if you prefer not to use a media player for synching (I use MediaMonkey for tag tidying/completion and synching). They also come in smaller capacities and there are talks of a 16 GB version coming very soon.

The only things I got for it were a set of Sennheiser CX 300 ear canal headphones, a BSE skin and a silicone skin from eBay.

For an idea on prices the 8 GB can be bought for around £130 and I got mine and the headphones for about £155 from Amazon a few months ago.
