    Nintendo Wii Controller Sensitivity

I've just turned my wii on, and i press the a button..thats fine, but from only a few feet its not picking up the remote..if i go right up to the sensitivity bar and i mean like 1cm away it works. I've put new batteries in it and its still not working..anyone heard of this or know what the problem is, Thank you.

The only problem i find is direct sunlight shining in the area between the sensor and the wiimote.Usually causes eratic movement of the cursor on the screen though not failure to respond.

If you have halogen lamps or spotlights in the room they will interfere with a Wii also. Make sure you check that the lens parts of the sensor bar and Wii remote are clean.
