    Wii VC - Progressive Scan?

Just a quick question: Do Virtual Console games support progressive scan? If so, which ones? I'm talking on a US machine...

Also, whilst searching for an answer I noticed a few people saying they run in their original resolution (say 200x200 as opposed to 720x480). When I try to play PSone games on my HDTV through component I get no picture. When I looked into it, I came to the conclusion that it was because my TV wouldn't take the puny resolutions. Does this suggest I won't be able to play some VC games through component on my TV?

There are known issues with VC running through component. IIRC some SNES games won't work at all through component because of the interlaced signal they use or some such.

Yeah, but so far as I know, these issues are strictly PAL-related.

Anyone have a more direct answer? Do they support prog scan and what is the resolution delivered to the TV through component? The former is more important..

        Thanks for your responses!

all the 30 or so Vc games i have bought seem to run in 480p , so i would say they all do.

Are you using a PAL or NTSC Wii?

Yes, I am pretty sure all VC games on a NTSC Wii will run just fine regardless the type of connection you make to your TV. That means they support progresssive scan. The PS issues (I suffered it too, that's why I ended up purchasing a NTSC Wii), are PAL exclusive.

I can't answer the second question, but I find that resolution problem very strange. Let's wait for someone who's into that more than I.
