Wii on a Samsung Slimfit

With Nights and Super Mario Galaxy I see myself
giving in to a Wii for Christmas.
I have a Samsung Slimfit and I cant calibrate any lightgun games on any of my other systems on it at all(end up playing them on my robust portable).
Does this mean that I'll have the same problem with the Wiis sensor?

No. The Wii sensor bar isn't actually a sensor. It sends IR out to the Wiimote to allow it to operate.
Lightguns don't work on 100Hz TV's, LCD or plasma based sets.
