Where to get US Wii from thats reliable?

Been thinking about this recently. Where have people here been getting theirs from?

I've usually shop for US stuff from vg+ and tronix but they don't seem to be selling Wii hardware itself. I know the Wiis selling like hot cakes in the US but surely there are some places exporting them here?

If you want a good source for the Wii hardware I'd recommend DVDBoxOffice.

I ordered mine Monday and it turned up today. Cheapest that I know of, too, although the checkout appeared to give me the incorrect total. If you set currency to USD you should get one for ~£169 including postage although you may have to pay VAT when customs grabs it (around £20, I think).

Same as above, very pleased. Make sure you choose to pay in US rather than Canadian dollars and it works out about £20 cheaper, which conveniently enough is just enough to cover the import tax

Cheers guys. Now I just need to decide whether to sell my UK one or keep it and get a US one as well!

Are these guys (DVDBoxOffice) good for games too? I had been using VG+ for my US Wii / Cube gear for a good while but last time I had a look their shipping / postage charges had gone throught the roof, shame as they always marked down the value of the stuff thereby avoiding tax's. And how long do they normally take on delivery too please?.

It depends how much you want to pay for shipping, which I guess by your post isn't much. I had them ship my pre-ordered Metroid Prime 3 by the free standard air mail last Tuesday / Wednesday and it still hasn't arrived yet. They give you the option to use Canada Post Expedited for a small fee (forget how much) which should take a few days off the wait; or you can have it sent by courier, which is super-fast (two or three days) but that costs about a tenner extra I think.

I don't mind paying a fair price but VG+s has shot up to being around three times what it used to be!!, a shame as they were always cheap, well fast and I didn't get hit by custons once!! DVD B.O doesn't sound too bad though so thanks for the reply and I think I'll give them a go .

DVDBO have a section for comments in the ordering process somewhere, a friend of mine always told me he asked them in that box just to mark it as being $10AUD or something low to avoid any customs etc and they always sent it through marked at that price

DVDBO are pretty reliable, sometimes they can take ages to get stuff into stock but don't forget that transit times are never the fault of the company (unless they mislabel something I guess? *shrug*) as once it's in the post/courier's hands it's out of theirs!

You always tend to see people that are irate about not receiving packages blaming the company that sent it and not the people that are delivering it

Ive always used DVDBO for gamecube and wii games and not had any trouble. Not ordered a console though.
