DS and 'no game pak inserted'

It's rare, but sometimes when I put a GBA game in my DS Lite I get the message that no game pak is inserted.
Is it because of a small dust particle, or does it need to be something bigger then that to cause this? Usually when re-inserting the gba game it will work though.
It only happened 3 times so far and the several (original!) cartridges all look clean to me.

mine does it with DS Cards too on occasion.

Dont worry about it, i sometimes get it with both the ds slot & the gba slot.

Its usually dirt built up on the pins or the cart connector. If you insert it & pull it out a few times it cleans the connectors (unless its really dirty)

Hmm i might invest in a cleaning kit sometime.

Thanks for the replies, I'm always carefull with my games...but yeah maybe someting small got in
Hmm about these cleaning sets, are they from Nintendo? I think I saw one at yesasia.com, it was to clean the cartridges (ds and gba) and the DS itself if I'm not mistaken.

I have the official cleaning kit, it's only about £3 from P-A. Pretty good, you can clean both slots and DS carts with it. Comes in a nice little case too. It's eliminated the problem for me.

I get this too, i've also had a couple of GBA games cut out mid game on the rare occurence - Tactics Ogre being the main offender which did this three times. Don't know whether its the cart or not as i've had the problem with one of two other games.
