    PSP custom bios.... I'm lost

I installed OE version 3.XX maybe ?-1 year ago. (how do I check the version?)

I have a game that requires version 3.52 firmware.

What do I need (and should) install to run the game? I don't want to overwrite the custom bios.

I came across the same problem. I had an old version of OE installed but then dark alex has stopped developing them now. But if you can get hold of the last one he did then you can just install it over the top. That release only went up to 3.4OE

I beleive there is a new group doing custom firmware called Team M33, that goes up to 3.52 but i think you will have to drop back to 1.5 before you can install this.

I've kind of lost track myself but I think there is a custom firmware that goes as high as 3.52 now. There should be an easy installer somewhere. Something you can just dump in your GAME150 folder and run from there. It will just overwrite your current custom firmware. As for where to get it, to be honest, I'm not sure. Maybe try pspupdates? I don't know if they actually have things like the actual installers there.

          Nah you don't, I assure you, I'm running 3.52 M33 myself.

If you're on an OE firmware you can go straight to the M33 firmware without a problem. M33 is based on OE having been reverse engineered when Dark_Alex quit.

It might be worth holding off if you don't like updating too often because the official firmware 3.70 was released today and the M33 team are very quick at creating updates (less than a day for 3.52). But if you're desperate and need to upgrade to play a game it's easy enough, and probably easier than the OE installation was.

You'll need the 3.52 M33 creator/installer (comes with step-by-step instructions), the official 1.50 and 3.52 updates for it to make the installer, and then the M33-4 update to be run afterwards and take you up to the latest version (3.52 M33-4). If you're already on custom firmware it shouldn't take you more than about ten minutes.

Feel free to PM me if you need any help. I play around with this stuff for fun

Quick aside, which game requires 3.52? The last couple I bought (D&D Tactics and Jeanne d'Arc) only wanted 3.30.

I'm still using 3.40 oe at the moment, so haven't needed to check out the M33 (or the upcoming team wildcard) firmwares.

Was a bit put off the M33 firmware when I saw that after they released their 3.52 firmware they then had to release four updates worth of bugfixes.

There have actually been very few bugfixes in the 3.52 updates, as they've mostly added features. For one they got the hacked Sony ISO loader in there (near complete no-UMD compatibility), and M33-4 added their XMB firmware menu which was a great addition.

The first couple of weeks of M33 releases were pretty hectic when they were fixing bugs every day. Thankfully we're past that now.

The one that I have is a review version of a game that's coming out at the end of the month. Sorry, can't tell you which.
