Web design question

I'm building a simple website for my dad's mate's brother's budgie in law's aunt's son's father... the guy wants to be able to edit the text content himself from time to time. Thing is, he's not very computer literate, but he thinks he is and ends up breaking nearly all computers in his path by looking at them

Is there any simple way around this?..as I think arming him with FTP software/notepad/DW would maybe be too much for him.

The site will be a simple web presence for his business, so I don't think a blog type site would be fitting.

Really? If he's just updating text on simple html pages (bearing in mind you do keep them simple that is. lol) there shouldn't be a problem with that and then copying the file to an online folder he needs to log into.

Whenever I used to do website favours for people I always threw that bit of training in as well (30mins max), as I make it damn well clear I'm not going to be there to change sentances for them every 10mins for the rest of my life.
