What I want you to do is to set your console to boot straight to disc.
Put a disc in the drive and turn off the console.

Unplug the Video connector pbut leave in your sound connectors.Turn on the console. Do you ever hear 360 logo boot/the game start?

Do you know if you managed to get a 65nm CPU and GPU? Is it a lot quieter?

No, but saying that my TV is currently displaying the "NO SIGNAL" message which may stop sound playing if there is no video, may be more to do with my TV than Xbox, but wait I have an idea...

Just plugged the L and R into my amps Aux and no sound, so I guess it is the 360.

Now if you take the disc out so that it boots to the dash instead, does it take a long time before you hear the logo?

Well I couldn't hear anything before, just plugged it all back in and turned console on, still saw the "NO SIGNAL" for about 2 second before logo, which I don't think it used to do...
