    XBox 360 DVD playing

    Hi

I was just wondering if anyone can help me, I am looking to purchase a Region 1 copy of the highly popular Manga anime series Hellsing, and was just wondering if My Xbox 360 will play this...

    Thanks in advance

I don't think this is a HD DVD question...

If you mean will a PAL 360 as standard will play regular region 1 DVDs, then no.

If you have the HD DVD add on you can play any HD DVD but only the region of your console for regular DVDs.

cutmymilk wasn't suggesting that the HD-DVD addon would let you play R1 DVD's, he simply meant that HD-DVD's in general are region free.

But anyway, if you have a DVD Player anyway, there's a good chance there's a region hack for it, there is for most players.

Incidently and kinda O/T is the 360 HD DVD player powered by the 360 or a seperate cord ?? Off to NY,NY next week and fancy picking a nice cheap one up.....

Separate power supply, but it's pretty small and I'm pretty sure multivoltage!
A normal figure-8 power cord goes into the PSU, like the PS2/XB/DC/Saturn used, so you can just use your own cable.

It's a worthwhile purchase, though mine is permenently connected to my PC cause it plays my HD-DVD's better than the 360 :P
