Buying off the JPN PS Store

I can use my MC on the US store but not the Japanese one. Is this normal MC users? Sony japan must actually verify the address

Believe not, think you need a JPN PSN Prepaid Store Card (NCSX sell them) or Wirecard.

how do you access the US store on a PAL ps3, can this be done?

You have to create a US profile, and sign in on that. A search should provide you with the answers, but it's fairly easy.
