Play-Asia no longer shipping 360 Jpn to Europe?

Today I thought I would order PGR4 for my 360. Owning a Jpn verison I usually order from Play-Aisa. Normally the Asian version. However today I was greeted with the message that this item cannot be shipped to the EU, just like all the PS3 titles!! I then looked at Halo 3. Same message. So where do we go now for cheap Asian version games?

Just had a check. It seems that region free games from any country are fine, however Japan/Asia compatible only versions will not ship to the EU.

Maybe PA have had a lot of eBay newbie types of idiots buying Jap/Asia games thinking that they'll play on a PAL console & then when they dont they give PA a load of hassle, which has now resulted in PA not shipping region specific games to avoid the hassle.

I tried COD 4 & it went to the checkout fine but its a pre-order so I dont suppose PA know if its gonna be region free or not yet. I hope it is cos I'm itching for it but yet refuse to pay more than £27 for games on any format these days. I own a PAL 360 btw.

I think you may have to wait & see if a region free version of PGR4 comes out mate.

I really thought 360 stuff would always be fine to order from Japan, that's actually really wound me up because there are still loads of games I want but I cant afford to replace my 360 with a PAL/US machine

The ASIAN PGR 4 is region free as is the US version. I am using a US version on a PAL 360

After checking the site it looks like it is Microsoft first party games that aren't being shipped to the EU.

EA games like Skate are fine at the moment.

Maybe they are worried about Microsoft taking action against them like Sony did against Lik Sang

Well I've just sent them an E-mail to see whats up will have to wait till Monday for a reply though now.

This has really got me a bit miffed I've got Shikigami No Shiro 3 on Pre-order with them & I really really want that game & seeing as Yes Asia only have the Wii version listed looks like I may never get to play it

Its only Microsoft Game Studios games that are effected. Third party games still seem to be fine. Obviously Microsoft has got onto them as so many had ordered the Asian/JPN versions of PGR4.

As I said in the PGR4 thread yesterday, MS are probably pissed off that people are getting their games much cheaper than they sell them in the US/Europe. They've probably leant on PA to stop.

Looks like selected items only as you can still order other MGS titles like Gears of War, Mass Effect etc. Plus consoles and everything.

Seems like I got lucky, got my order for PGR4 in and shipped the day before all this started happening. Hopefully Microsoft won't start pushing for a ban on all imports! I've got a PAL elite now so I can get games from here, but the number I can afford to buy will be almost cut in half if I couldn't get the Asian games.
