Edit Halo 3 Videos - Gold Account only?

I would very much like to edit down my single player videos, but when I'm in theatre mode, the record button is greyed out. Is it because I have a silver (free) Xbox Live account?

If not, how do you edit videos?

You can't edit campaign video's I think.

Trufax: you can't make film clips or edits of campaign vids for some bizarre reason

OK - that's good to know. Real shame as watching my campaign vids is such a tedious job when I've spent the best part of an hour on a single checkpoint.
