Sold my PS3, how do i remove card details???

As the title says really, just sold my Jap Ps3 and i want to remove any bank account details but not delete profiles as i want the demo's and games that i have bought to be kept on the hard drive for the other buyer.

Or is it the case that i can completely delete my profiles and the games will stay on there??

I think i've figured it out. If i disable the Auto Sign in on the PS Network then whoever has the system can't access the store with my details, but as long as they don't delete my master account they can still play my downloaded games.

I assume they just set up another account and input their own details.

Why don't you just get their details and change your existing accounts? Get a temporary password for them to use to log in and then change it once they get the PS3.
      Kept you waiting, huh?

From memory when I sold mine I just 'depersonalised' the name & address + e-mail info by editing them & putting in some made-up details. Pretty sure there's also an option to delete any billing/ credit card details that you've previously added to the account.

You're right about the profiles. The profile you used to buy any games needs to stay on the hdd in order for them to work....otherwise you'll get an error message.

I can vouch for what Tom Nook says given it was I who bought his machine

Kindly left some games on there for me, but no personal info of his remains. Made the deal sweeter getting a machine loaded with games - so definately something you would want to do because it means more to play for the person buying your machine

My way is better. You won't have loads of unusable accounts hanging around on the XMB then.

Not this one mate, it's a UK machine.

My brother still has the Gamecube you delivered to me though

Agreed it would definitely a neater solution. Not sure if you can change the online gamertag (or whatever Sony calls 'em!) or not though?
