PSP won't load certain games :(

Right, so I have an original UK model PSP, loaded up with 3.10 OE-A firmware. Most of my PSP games will work, except two and both of them have come from Jersey (FFTactics and Star Wars Lethal Alliance)

When I try to play both, I can't get past an error message stating:

The game could not be started
(800201148)

Is there likely to be something in the firmware preventing them working, or have I been somehow sent a pair of faulty games? There's certainly no cosmetic damage to them.

Doesn't FF Tactics have an auto update to 3.50 or something on the disc? Could that be why it doesn't load.

I had a similar problem and when I tried to update the firmware of the PSP I got a message saying DADADADADA? Bizzare

Your firmware is well out of date and Tactics is a new game so is probably not compatible with it.

It should load up star wars tho right?

Edit: Actually, Star wars does boot to the main menu, the error appears when I select new game.

Also, I've not been keeping track of where the custom firmware is up to in regards to updates. Which is the latest version and where can I get it?

FFT comes with 3.51 on the disc but will play with 3.40oe.

I've just updated from 3.40oe to m33 3.71 (via m33 3.52) psp-hacks.com has been mentioned previously for downloads.
