That one is fine Joe, to be honest, the cheaper aerial's will offer excellent performance in household environment. Ot's only when you are dealing with alot of c's and stuff in an office, that the mmore expensive aerials make a difference.

This replacement will due you fine. It's actually more powerful than the 2db aerial Netgear originally supllied you with the router.

See here are the specs for the netgear DG834GT, notice the aerial supplied is only 2dbi, whereas the ebay one is 5dbi.

TBH, you will not notice the difference unless you are going over a larger distance, or are in an area with alof of interference for wifisignals.

Excellent, I was unsure what the 5dBi figures meant. Will it screw straight in too, or will I need an adapter? I just figured out what RP SMA meant.
