Sup. I recently got a PAL PS3 (firmware 1.80), and this morning started testing my PS1/PS2 games to see what works and what doesn't. Generally I got lucky, most work with 3 stars of approval from the EU Sony site. But there are a few I'm unclear on, and was hoping to get some input from you guys, the people who might actually have played them. So, here goes...
ICO - 3 stars
I have the French PAL version and it's serial number matches the one on Sony's site, but it won't work. The Playstation2 logo apears, then disappears, then it just stays at black. Maybe it's because it's the French version, I dunno, but has anyone had it running?
Shadow Hearts - NOT LISTED
Yup, not listed on the PS3 website, but actually ****ing works. I just don't know for how long. It could break at any point.
Shadow Heart Covenant - 1 star
Only one star. I loaded it up, watched the intro and played for 10 minutes, and it seemed fine enough. But again, it could break at any point.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance - 1 star
Oh man, one star again. Same thing, loaded it up, watched the intro and played for 10 minutes. Seems stable and fine, but not sure where the problems kick in.
Final Fantasy 12 - 2 stars
Seems fine in play, but noticed the FMVs looked pretty blurred and terrible. Is that the full extent of it's issues?
So those are the games that concern me, and most actually do play. I'd just like a little help from those of you in the know, about where the problems/glitches etc take effect in them.
Any input is appreciated.
