ah. had this for a few months now - excellent piece of work, especially the IKA mode. the other one, 'noiz2sa' is really good as well, if a little disorientating.

Hmmm. It's not so much a shooting game as a shooting trainer imo.

Now any novice to any of the games "emulated" within can learn the best ways to shot-dodge and buzz certain patterns at a slower speed. For some of us who are getting past their best at twitch games, this can only be a good thing.

The production values are high and the music is excellent. Nice stuff.

As a practice game, it's superb - All importance is placed upon dodging rather than shooting.

It's a more 'controlled environment' to test your skills than a regular Shooter.

It's terrific, I'm enjoying it immensely.

I was just going to start a thread on this, then figured I would do a search first.....luckily really.

Been playing this on and off for a few months now, and I must say it is absolutely brilliant. AND IT'S FREE!

In case anyone's put off (as I would be) by the "PC shooter" part of the title, there is a delightfully creamy Mac OSX version too.

Was given the heads up on that by Caco a couple of months back.

It's also GamePad savvy. w00t! I plugged in my tacky $10 PSX style USB pad, bought purely to play Metal Slug, and it worked without any setup.

Also search for Parsec 47, I don't know the link, but it's in a similar vein and also excellent. Saur put me onto these 2 a good while back.

Someone did a nice job of compiling a database of all these neat little freeware shooters at http://www.shootthecore.com/PClinks1.html. Some good stuff there, be sure to check out Warning Forever too, pretty similar to RRootage but with better bosses.

I showed it to my mate and he stopped playing Far Cry for a whole 30 mins to play it.
