    PS3 HDMI Black screen problem

Hi all had a search and cant seem to find any answers so here we go.
PS3 has been running on my Sammy lcd set at 720p for the last 3 days no problem. Go and switch it on today all I get is a black screen, can hear the intro music.

Had to do the reset thing so I could get an image via componant.
I tryed 3 hdmi leads to no avail. The only thing that comes up on my screen is an out of range message.

    Anybody?
    Cheers

It's a TV problem, you've probably got the same TV as me. I had my PS3 do this a few months back. It worked fine with composite. But each time I plugged in the HDMI lead it came up with the 'out of range message'.
In the end it just started working, and has been fine since. I've read a few people having trouble with Samsungs, something to do handshaking?

For some reason (I had this the other day as well, despite running this 100% from day one to the same TV over the same HDMI cable) you find that occasionally it doesn't activate the HDMI port (At least that's my assumption, I get the same symptoms as you except that my amp flashes the HDMI badge to indicate no signal). Press and hold the power button as you switch it on until it beeps (~5 seconds) and it'll set itself to default and you just go through the short video setup again.
