Not sure if I'm correct, but few months ago I was seeking a good AGp to slap in my half dead system.

Second one is better, but I'd be reluctant to buy either as they won't last you very long with regards to performance.

Go for the X1950PRO. The HD2600 is a good choice for multimedia purposes, but in pure gaming is slower than the X1950PRO, even if it's more advanced thanks to the DX10.
However, I will repeat myself: if you have a ~ 3ghz CPU (P4, Athlon XP), you'll be CPU-limited on all modern titles, personal experience. Also, if you don't have a decent PSU (a true 400W unit would do), you'll might experience system instability due to the great power requirements of the card.
Also, if you have a P4/Athlon XP system, it's better to save money for a new PCI-E system...you can start off with a (relatively) future-proof motherboard (like X38 mobos for Core 2 Duo systems) and medium-end components and then slowly building your system as the need arise.

The 7950gt is the best agp card available I believe.

This probably isn't the cheapest example though.

yeah by far and away, the 7950gt will blow away all the ATI cards on this page.

Don't buy Hiper, the quality of those PSUs have dropped drastically in recent years. Also, I think you may need a PSU that supports ATX v1.3 for an AMD XP system due to different power requirements (most newer PSUs are now v2.0 and up, which have an emphasis on 12v current, whereas older machines mainly make use of the 3v and 5v lines, with 12v just used for peripherals).

Quite honestly I think you'd be better off saving your money until you can replace your whole base system. It'd work out much better in the long run, and you'll have a much better choice of graphics cards, that's for sure. Just my opinion.

in the end you will probably just be better with a new system i think the graphics card will struggle with alot of games

and the fact is if you would get a new motherboard you would then need a new processor a new graphics card and a new powersupply
