    xbox live arcade issue

    Ive just purchased an elite having owned a premium. I was plesantly suprised to find that I could re-download all my full arcade games that I paid for, however when i'm not online these games can only be played as trials or demos. Does anyone know why?

    The games get assigned to your machine rather than your HDD, so unless you're signed into Live, the computer thinks you don't own the full versions. I have the same problem after replacing my 360, and the MS support people have been totally useless about solving it. I hear they can re-assign DLC to a new machine but only if you send copies of your receipts for the two consoles.

      It sounds like the "System Management" (find it in the marketplace blade and re-download) option only works for consoles that have been through the MS service centre.

      When I replaced my console with a retail machine back in June, MS were more than happy to re-credit the MS points to an alternative live account. The points could then be spent re-buying the XBLA titles. All you need is to show proof of the exchange (a receipt).
