Any more rally titles in the pipeline?

I've not been sold on DiRT or Sega Rally (didn't like the handling models).
Are there any more rally games in the pipeline? Be it uber arcadey like Rallisport Challenge 2 or semi-sim like WRC

Wasn't Motorstorm made by some of the WRC developers? Spose Motorstorm 2 is a given, and there's the inevitable rally modes in GT5. Looks a bit sparse.. :/

I was hoping for a new WRC game too, I want a traditional stage based rally game. Shame Evolution have confirmed they're working on MotorStorm2, unless they're big enough now to run concurrent projects and obviously assuming they still have the licence.

EDIT: Just checked the Gamefinder over at Gamespot (PS3\360 | Driving | Not released yet) and no rally games mentioned.

The sorry state of the WRC itself probably has as much to do with it as anything. Last generation we had the official WRC line, Colin McRae (when they were actually decent rally games) Rallysport and V-Rally, but not so much this time round so far.

Sega Rally is pretty good on the arcadey side of things, its just that the main single player mode is a bit of a boring grind.

Just picked up the metal box version of Dirt (PS3) from a friend as he'd had enough of it.

There aren't really any proper rally games on the present consoles. Sega Rally and Dirt don't cover the sport for me. I'm a fan of the WRC sport and games. The sport is still licensed to Sony exclusively as I checked with Rushy coming up to the shows in the summer.

Obviously he wasn't able to comment on any unannounced games or what Sony had planned for the franchise.

When you check Evolution Studios website you get this pop up when you mouse over the rally car:


It seems that something is on the way to at least one of Sony's platforms at some time in the future but what or when hasn't been mentioned yet!
