Wii Zapper issue

Bought Ghost Squad with the Wii Zapper for the Wii on Japanese import last week and found that I have a problem with my gun. Basically the trigger sticks now and again, meaning that you obviously can't play the gamer properly as you can't shoot effectively.

I've read that this is a problem with the first batch of the controller and was just wondering if anyone else imported the game and gun and if you're having the same issue.

I don't own the game, but some users at Neogaf are reporting same problem. Doesn't seem to be that common problem, but pretty annoying nonetheless.

Any workarounds suggested? Some are saying use WD40 to lube it up or tie the wiimote down into the holder so that the B button is forced against the trigger.

could you not put some card in between b and trigger to help a connection
