Problems Tiscali ADSL and Router

I've got Tiscali 8mb ADSL and all has been working fine with my Dlink Router until a couple of weeks ago when the router refuses to connect to the ADSL line (been working fine for about a year). Tried a netgear router same problem.

Went back to the Tiscali USB ADSL modem works a treat and connects every time. Phones Tiscali and was told tough if it works with the USB modem it's not their problem.

Have double checked all the settings on the routers etc. Take routers to my friends house and both work fine on his on Tiscali line.

Any ideas??

You must have a setting on the router wrong somewhere, one of the most common things is to muddle up PPPOE and PPPOA in the settings. Perhaps try the other one.

Maybe restore the factory settings and start from scratch

Ok, can anyone who has Tiscali broadband tell me which wireless router there using please?

I have Tiscali and I'm using a Netgear DG834G wireless modem/router

When you changed to the modem, did you change the filter at the same time? Could be a duff one. Also, have you plugged any new phones or anything in on the line lately?

No mate nothing new plugged in and have tried a new filter etc. Only appears to work with the supplied USB modem.
