Xbox 360 with a Samsung monitor - best choice?

So... I was looking at monitors to use with my Macbook and my XBox 360.

After poking around, it seems like the Samsung 2232BW would be the best choice. It's ?220 at PC World, which seems like a decent price. It's a little flashier than the 226BW, but it's meant to avoid the panel lottery.
Would that work fine with a VGA cable or an HDMI with DVI adapter? Is it the best price/performance wise? I think 22" is really about as large as I want to go.

Sorry for the boring questions... this is a big outlay for me!

There is a bit of a gotcha with 16:10 displays when using them with a 360 - unfortunately the 360 only supports two aspect ratios - 16:9 and 4:3. with a 16:10 monitor you're left with little choice but to distort the 16:9 output to fit, which can look a little odd.

MS could fix this by supporting 16:10 resolutions, such as 1680x1050 and 1920x1200, but so far they haven't done so.

I have a 21" Samsung widescreen monitor, use VGA for 360 connection and HDMI to DVI for the PS3, both give a cracking picture.

PS. I only paid £152 (it was reduced from £169) for my 21" one from Comet (instore) about three months back so have a scout about for a better price before splashing your cash.

That's pretty shameful of Microsoft, especially as they specifically sell a VGA cable.

Ah well... it's not worth the extra £150ish for me to get a TV.
It's a shame that most panels under £400 don't support 1:1 pixel mapping. That doesn't seem like it should be an advanced feature, does it?
