Also in Black for the more discerning user

      Fan site here too: http://www.eeeuser.com/

Very, very tempted to order one but I'm wondering if I need yet another laptop? Could be good for messing about with... Great as a starter machine though I'd say.

Shot of how big it is:

I read that some of the first people to order these were sent a box of 5 instead of a single item because the box was so small

Haha yes, I think it was newegg.com that screwed up and sent the outer boxes instead

Pretty cool, although it's a shame they didn't come in at ?199... just a more appealing price, that's all.

You can pickup the 2GB version for under the £200 price point, but, well, you'd want 4gb really though wouldn't you

Although a lot of people seem to be installing things onto SDHC cards so that 2/4GB probably wouldn't matter.

I'm probably gonna get one of these, though the price point in the states is looking much more promising than here. Might get my cousin who goes out every year to pick one up for me.

Didn't know about the SDHC thing, thats very handy. Are there any good site been set up by users that you guys have found at all? Tips and tricks and so on?

This one seems pretty good: http://forum.eeeuser.com/
Has various experiences with the hardware, loads of Q&A, hints/tips etc...

Mate sent me this link earlier about a special version of Vista for it: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?p=503159

Cheers Chris, I didn't notice the post above, lol.

Been looking around and found that RM are selling it and if you are a student it's £200!!!!

RM is a leading supplier of technology and services to the education sector, supporting schools, teachers and pupils across the globe – from pre-school to higher education – including examination boards, central governments and other professional institutions. Promoting effective use of technology in education.

Anyone know if it's RM branded because tbh, that would be enough for me to pay the extra cash....

                      Wahey! I'm so shallow!

bootmonster, the RM ones are available here: http://www.rm.com/HE/Products/produc.../rmcomhome.asp

Look pretty much the same as the "regular" ones!

Edit: Some other pictures of the RM Minibook in this PDF too: http://www.rm.com/_RMVirtual/Media/D...ence_flyer.pdf

                          Looks identical.

Cheeky feckers negated to mention the VAT you have to pay, making them more expensive than other sites.

                              Damn it!
