PSP questions

I have a 1.5 PSP, have done nowt to it for months and months, and am worried because I have just bought a new game.

1) What is the current firmware? Will Dracula X make me update?
2) What is the latest custom firmware and what can it "do"?
3) If I need to update my firmware and all that jazz, can someone help me do it (Neko Fever did it for me last time lol)

Basically I don't want to lose all my emulators and stuff!!

In case it helps Dracula X requires f/w 3.52, so one of the M33 team custom firmwares (3.52 or later) will do the job.

At the moment my PSP has some sort of custom firmware - 3.03 OE or something? I made a decision based upon the amount of time I play on the emulators on my PSP (i.e. not much) to just go ahead and upgrade the firmware on my PSP. So I put the Vania disc in, and tried to update - but it won't allow me too, giving a message that says "DADADADA". Can someone either:

(a) Send me an idiot-proof means of installing the correct custom firmware
(b) Tell me what I need to do to upgrade

Opinions on what is the best option appreciated.

I'd tell you if I knew, Seany. Haven't heard of that one. If you're on custom firmware, there has to be a way of getting back to 1.5 and maybe an official upgrade would work from there?

It's possible that the custom firmware has flashed things that weren't supposed to be flashed but, if that's the case, I imagine you're not the only one and there must be a fix out there. Sorry I can't be more help.

Sounds like you're on the Dark Alex firmware - you want to upgrade to the M33 team one. I'm sure there must be a load of links out there about it.

I need some help firmware wise, need to get from 3.40 OE to 3.72 (for some PS3 goodness) - nothing dodgy just that 3.40 OE won't seem to let me install any other firmware.

Any help much appreciated.
