Live and credit card question

So last year I had to close my Live account to remove the card from it, then I had to retrieve it and used codes for my sub, today I get an email from microsoft telling me its going to update via my credit card. I checked in the accounts tab and sure enough theres my credit card details again.
There is no option to remove the card. I called the 0800 number and the people there have system proplems and cant do anything until the morning.
I`ve looked through countles pages on the support site but cant find anything about removing card details.
Anybody?

You can't remove cards yourself. It HAS to be done via the helpline.

It's ridiculous and I told them so when I tried doing it as well.
