Hori Soul Caliber II Joystick

Anyone here think that the PS2 Hori Soul Caliber II Joystick is too loose?

I was using it to play Super Street Fighter II Turbo online on Kawaks yesterday and couldn't pull off a dragon punch to save my life!

Using the joystick for charge character like Chun Li and Guile were great though!

Is there anyway of making the stick feel any tighter?

Loose sticks are much better - you probably need to adjust your style ennit?

I think it might be summat to do with how I'm sitting and how the joystick is placed.
Right now, I currently sit on a leather chair with my hori joystick on my lap.

Before I used to have a joystick blu tacked to the table for that non-slip arcade feeling...
