360 120gb harddrive question!

hey guys!

ok i just got the 120gb HDD for my 360, but as its a US console, the update disc wont play!!!! arggggghhhhhhhhhh as the update disc is PAL!!!!!
any way round this please as i want to transfer my game save data over!
is there any downloads on marketplace i could get please?

The other option would be to take both harddrives round to a mates who's got a PAL 360

I think you need to appeal for a pal data transfer disc

no sorry i have a PAL disc, but my 360 is a US one so i need an NTSC disc!
any other way round this please or has anyone got a 'spare' NTSC disc please?

doh!! just had a brain wave!! (well if it works!!) take both my harddrives round to my mates house who has a PAL 360, take off his HDD, hook up mine and transfer data
this should work right??

If you do that though,LIVE arcade titles will not be locked to your machine, they will be locked to his. You'll still be able to play them, but you'll HAVE to be connected to LIVE.

MS use an annoying form of digital rights management to lock XBLA games to the console (not HDD) on which they were purchased.

To get around this issue when transferring from 20gb-120gb I'm guessing they made it lock to the console upon which the transfer took place. Thus, your games would be locked to your friends console.

The games are also locked to your gamertag, meaning you could play them when connected to live, but from the sounds of things, not offline.
